Fabrication of the First Window


So I know you have all been wondering how the project is coming along! After a few weeks of cartooning out the pattern for the glass, the guys over at Colorsmith have made a lot of progress. Check out the photos below to get a glimpse at their process!

Hard at Work





The project is moving right along! Even though yesterday was blisteringly hot, we made some good progress. Check out the photos bellow to see what is happening!

First Window Frame


As some of you may have noticed, the windows on the east side of the church have slowly been coming out. The masons have started to put in the new stone frames!

Smoke Test

Yesterday we used a rented fog machine to test the protective box to make sure it was tight. The test was successful, which means the glass will be pulled from the windows soon!

Protective Box

Here is the beginning of the wood box that will enclose the East side of the Nave. Once the box is completed, we will be able to take out the first window!

Interior Scaffolding


Step one has been completed! The scaffolding is up, and we are ready to start putting up the temporary wooden box that will enclose the windows while they are being worked on. The box will be erected this coming week.
